One of my students wanted to ask a few questions about how nerves become
numb.
1) What happens to your neurons when a part of your body "falls asleep" ?
2) Why does the numbness take so long to go away?
3) Why does moving the numb part of your body speed up the return of
sensation?
4) Does numbness have anything to do with the position of the dendrites and
the axon terminal?
5) How come you get numb when you're cold?
