Hi Geoff,
Those ten elements are the transition between the "s" and "p' orbitals for
the same prinicipal quantum number (n). For example, if n =4. the 4s orbital
fills first (K and Ca) then the 3d transtion orbitals fill next and then the
4p orbitals fill out the rest of the main group elements to Kr. Any help?
