This brings up the classical problem involved in evolution: surface are
versus volume o the organism.

Sleek and long versus (orca) shorter and thicker.

Ability of respiratory system to absorb through epidermis added to surface
breaking moments?

And if there are mermaids, how does sexual reproduction [I mean the transfer
and recombination of DNA occur] to create new mermaids?

Is Aquaman, a cartoon character, the only DNA donating organism?

Overall, Ms. Kovisto, this is a very good momment to plumb the "depths" of
your students' understanding of respiration of marine organisms--algae,
sponges, cnidarians, to whales.

Once again, I greatly appreciate what you have done for GWHS and my children.
