A wonderful prgram I was recently introduced to is called Mathscribe.
It is still only in Beta version. Very simple to use and elegant. It's
not intended for data analysis, but rather for students to explore and
understand relationships between an equation and its graph. While the
ti-80's will perform the same function, one must go back and change the
equation each time to see the effect of changing parameters. On this
program, a slider appears for any parameter included into the equation.
Ex: y=mx+b. M and b would be understood to be parameters and values can
be changed with a mouse-controled slider and the graph will
simultaneously show the changes.

Since it is still in development phase, it's free. The recent version
2.0 can be downloaded from www.mathscribe.com.
