Why...
does only one side of the pickly glow at a time?

does the glow move from one side to the other sometimes but not all the time
when the connections are switched around?

does one nail get slowly pushed out of the pickle?

What is the black soot on the nails coming from? (burnt pickle meat?)

How hot is the inside of the pickle getting?
