Subject: Re: pinhole Upside-down stunt planes

Hi Paul,
Just to add to the fun, I fly R/C model airplanes. Many of the them have
completely symmetric airfoils with zero incidence built in. They fly just
fine both upright and inverted. I own a model with a flat-bottomed air foil,
but with a little skill I can fly it inverted also for a few minutes. This
model does not fly as fast inverted as it does upright, so I have always
assumed that the angle of attack of the wing is greater inverted and the
increased drag slows the plane. The model has never been sucked out of the
sky.
