Hi Jennifer,
1. Depleted uranium is natural uranium which has the mass 235 isotope leaving
behind mostly the mass 238 isotope. Both isotopes are mildly radioactive.
2. The Rutherford model (1909) gives the atom's positive charge (protons) the
mass of an atom concentrated in a very small volume at its center. The Bohr
model (1913) places the electrons in orbits at some distance from the
nucleus. This is the model most people visualize. The quantum mechanical
description is difficult to visualize.
