Subject: salt solubilities

Why is it that solutes have solubilities that vary w/ temperature? Why, for
example, does sodium acetate have a much higher solubility at high
temperatures, while NaCl has an almost constant solubility regardless of
temperature, and SO2 or cerium sulfate have lower solubilities at high
temperatures?

I know the answer to this is probably quite complicated.
