Well, I know (possessing very little skin color, and what I do have is
pink) that you can burn through glass -- window glass in houses (double
or single paned), car window glass (front, side, and back windows) in both
older and new cars -- any glass at all. My skin is the most sensitive UV
meter I've ever worked with and I can guarantee my findings. Maybe I
should restate the first sentence, though. Maybe you can't get a sunburn
through glass, but I can.
