Dear Regan-- Some of the activities in Th e Human Body Explorations book
(by Karen K) would be good-- call me if you don't have it. If they take
litmus strips they can do some acid-base testing, and also they can use
iodine and cabbage juice as indicators. It's fun to see carbon dioxide
produced by yeast and to watch it put out a candle, etc, and packages of
yeast and tea candles aren't too bulky. Eric has a simple experiment with
batteries that separates water into H2 and O2. Let us know if you want
some specific lesson plans. -- Tory
