COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOP
AND FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT

AUGUST 2 – 10, 2001. CANADA COLLEGE in Redwood City just off Hwy 280.

HOSTED BY GENE CONNECTION of San Mateo County AND IMMEX-UCLA

August 2 – 10, or the optimal days therein (depending upon enrollee majority
choice), Gene Connection’s Octavio Rodriguez will be hosting a computer
technology workshop for high school and middle school science teachers of ALL
disciplines. The goal is to increase your familiarity with the basic tools
of communication both online and written. These will include MS word, with a
useful output of a mail-merged letter to parents (file for addresses and file
for letters); spreadsheet (for recording data of any sort and simple
calculations); gradebook; and powerpoint (converting an unfavorite lecture
into powerpoint with appropriate photos and video clips). In addition, this
workshop and the follow-up hours will give you TIME AND SUPPORT to put these
new/improved skills to work for YOU and your students.

For a short description of the Computer Technology Workshop, with emphasis on
classroom integration for science teachers and an introduction to IMMEX
online problem sets for science, please go to the following web site:

NEW DUE DATE IS TUESDAY, JUNE 26TH,

Please call Octavio (650-322-0105) if you are interested, but delayed in
