Hi Adam

Mixing is a hard problem.
It is hard to mix silicate into a lava flow.
So it has never been done.

The only time a lava flow was ever stopped was in iceland when they sprayed
cold ocean water on the lava, cooled it down and stopped it.
The icelanders called it something like "pissa a harundt" peeing on the lava.
Watering lava is easy.
