This week we announce another new web page.

Last week I announced the Free Online Publications page.

This week I announce the New Titles - Free Online Publications page.

http://www.exploratorium.edu/ls/infosources/eBooksNew.html

This page consists of weekly lists of titles that are being added to the
Free Online Publications page.

Items will be listed exclusively on the new page until Tuesday and then be
added to the Free Online Publications page. The older new title lists will
stay up longer for easy reference. Why Tuesday? Well I work a Tuesday -
Saturday shift.

Given the rather large amount of new titles I am locating lately I felt
such a page would be useful.

LEARNING STUDIO CATALOG TIP:

The "any" search option.

This is a powerful option that we often use when we search our catalog.
Most folks however just use the first search option displayed, the TITLE
KEYWORD search. Instead of doing this try changing the search to ANY. The
result will be quite different.

WEB SITE OF THE WEEK:

California Exotic Pest Plant Council
http://www.caleppc.org/

I got the idea for this weeks selection from an NPR report on invasive
plants in the Northwest. The nicest looking ornamentals in the right
environment can turn into a noxious weed crowding out local plants,
changing the soil conditions, causing fire hazards, and starve local
animals who depend on native plants that no longer can live in the area.

This page deal with California there are plenty of other pages related to
invasive plants and animals listed at:
