there is a good GEMS book called "the reason for the seasons". it's new and still has some minor typos, etc. it comes with a good cd-rom too. about $20.
Do you have recommendations for hands-on ways to successfully teach the topics below? In particular, I'm looking for ways of presenting evidence, which students can examine to arrive at the generally-accepted scientific conclusions that they read about in their textbooks.
Also, are there curriculum packages (such as Gems, Snackbook, etc.) that teach several of these topics well?
