Hello,
A collegue of mine recently tried making soap in his
classroom, but forgot to tell his students not to use
aluminum pie tins for the mold. One student did.
The reaction created a nasty gas in the classroom that
made it impossible to breathe.
We are thinking that the product that permiated the
room was aluminum oxide--is this true. Are there any
other bi-products of this reaction?
If anyone knows this, that would be great.
Thanks
