I was disappointed to learn that "Science Made Stupid"
is a book of humor and will no longer use it as a
required supplemental reading. I will use "Dr. Science
Big Book of Science" in its place as it is
chock-a-block full of science, perhaps more than a
fifth graders head can contain without exploding. It
is equally funny, written by "Dr. Rodney" of Duck's
Breath Mystery Theater and probably out of print. I
use humorous articles when I think I can get away with
it and not get yelled at by my adminstrators (who also
write humorous things like "How to run a school
district".)

Something that is not out of print, but perhaps should
be, is the Journal of Irreproducible Results, which
will prove, beyond mere mortal skepticism that there
is an "...Inheritance Pattern in Death" and other
gems. It is written by scientists and quite funny. You
can find this journal at most good bookstores, as even
good bookstores carry magazines of dubious use.

Something to do over the summer. Let's hear some
pinholer's recomendations for summer reads.
