With a CLOSED pipe (ie, water at one end, as in this demo), you get
resonance with a displacement antinode at the open end and a node at the
closed end. So, as you say, the first resonance is at 1/4 wavelength. But
the next is at 3/4, then 5/4, etc. - increasing by 1/2 wavelength
increments starting at 1/4 wavelength.
