Hi Ellen,
If you inhale chalk dust, it only coats your lungs. if you want to eat chalk
dust, it will dissolve in your stomach and some calcium will end up in your
bones. People who take calcium supplements should also take some magnesium. The
proportion of calcium to magnesium in dolomite is about right.
