Hi Everyone --
In preparing "acid rain" from vinegar, a ratio that typically results in
"rain" at the upper pH limit of acid rain (around pH 5) is: 20 drops of
vinegar into 1/4 cup (about 60 ml) water. If you have pH paper, it's
always good to check; tap water varies in pH, and distilled water that you
can purchase is acidic, not neutral, due to diffusion of carbon dioxide
into the water during preparation.
Hope that his helps!
