Summit Preparatory High School is a public charter school preparing
students for college. It provides a small school experience with

Summit Preparatory High School opened in September 2003 with its
first freshman class of 80 students. Located in downtown Redwood

and serving the diverse communities of Southern San Mateo County,
Summit will grow to a capacity of 400 students by adding a new class
each year until reaching full enrollment.

• 25:1 student-teacher ratio, with 100 total students

Professional Development

Compensation
• Base salary competitive with local public schools
• Skill premiums paid for National Board Certification, Spanish, and
expertise in differentiation, interdisciplinary teaching, counseling
and special education
• Achievement bonuses based on growth in students’ academic
performance and peer and parent input
