Here is an excellent teacher opportunity to attend an intensive workshop on
the relatively new field of astrobiology:

Astrobiology Summer Science Experience for Teachers (ASSET)
August 2 -7, 2004
NASA Ames Research Center and SETI Institute, California

The SETI Institute's scientists and educators will conduct an intense,
interactive, and content-rich professional development institute for
high school science teachers this summer. The application is available
on-line. Astrobiology will be the major theme, and connected to the
classroom via the Voyages Through Time curriculum included for each
participant. Travel grants and other support will be provided. We
invite you to learn more about astrobiology and our newest curriculum.
Visit www.seti.org/epo/ for the ASSET application. Applications are due
April 9, 2004. Applications received by March 15, 2004 will receive
priority placement. All applicants will be notified by April 30.
