This is a great deal for all teachers who want continuing education
and professional development courses (all with CEU credit) for
learning to use various computer and Internet applications and for
integrating technology into the curriculum. These classes are among
the lowest cost of any in the Bay Area--and many are offered online
(i.e., you can take these from anywhere you have a computer with an
Internet connection).
I am teaching three of the online classes offered this quarter:
LINC 224.01W Global Project-Based Learning (2 CEU units)
LINC 228.01W (1 CEU unit): Teaching Science Using Online Bay Area
Museum Resources (based on our Bay Area Science Education
Collaboratory Project)
LINC 241.01W Integrating Technology Projects Using Online
Collaboration Tools (2 CEU units)
For those teachers who are continuing or new teachers interested in
registering for LINC 228.01W, I also highly recommend the Webquest
class:
LINC 202.01W Creating WebQuests for and with your students (2 units)
Deadline for registration in order to take advantage of this deal is
Friday, April 16; however, many of these courses are scheduled to
start April 14 or earlier.
Please feel free to email Art Turmelle at Foothill's Krause Center
for Innovation if you have any questions or problems with online
registratiion <linc@foothill.edu>
Ted M. Kahn, Ph.D.
Instructor, Foothill College, Krause Center for Innovation and
Project Director, Bay Area Science Education Collaboratory.
