A couple of nice demos for circular motion:

1. Cut a wedge out of a pie tin.
2. Place the pie tin on an O/H.
3. Ask the kids to predict which direction a marble will roll out of the pie tin if you roll it around.
4. Roll the ball out of the tin.
5. It should go straight.

Another,
1. Again with a plate, cut three holes (equidistant apart) and tie strings to each, coming together at the top, forming one handle.
2. Place something--a cup of water perhaps--on the plate, and swing the plate around. The kids will be quite amazed that the cup will not fall off.
