Ok Karen.

Evolution is a law because it is generalizable. I suppose a more helpful way for me to understand what this means by asking what you think it would take to prove evolution isn't a law. Perhaps a message embeded in the geology of Mars that says something like: "Hey Earth folks, It was all my idea, all the differences in living things I mean, I hope I didn't confuse you...Sincerely, a really, really powerful entity".
Seriously, I can imagine something openly defying gravity, reducing the law to rubble, but I'm having trouble imagining something defying the law of Evolution in the same way without getting all spritual.
The stuff you say about hypothesis bears repeating. We don't teach it very well. Seems to me it is a much more creative thing than the way describe it. Kinda drudge like.

With firm handshake,
Raleigh
