Subject: light antenna

You've seen radio antennas on cars, and transmitting antennas too.

In the November Physics Today scientists at Boston College have made
antennas for vivble light.

They grew the antennas as carbon nanotubes. 50 nm wide and a few hundred nm
long.

The antennas do not detect light polarized perpendicular to the nanotube.
