Greetings all,

I am looking for an activity that I believe is called Double Dog. I
lost the copy I got a few summers ago at a TI workshop. The activity
uses blocks to model the fact that surface area to volume ratio
decreases as 3-D objects increase in size. The idea is to make a small
dog of blocks, figure out the surface to volume ratio, then make a
larger dog, and figure out the ratio again. I want to use the activity
to help my 7th graders understand the concept in relation to cells: as
in, there could never be a cell the size of you.

Anyone know how I can get a copy of the activity?

Thanks,
Celia Cuomo
