Do you need to become No Child Left Behind compliant to teach science?
You can do this by passing the
California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) administered by
National Evaluation Systems
(www.cset.nesinc.com).

If you need help passing the CSET exam, we invite you to participate in
a CSET preparation course co-sponsored by
the Teaching and Learning Interchange at the University of San Francisco
and the Exploratorium Teacher Institute. We will accept a limited number of
secondary science
teachers to participate in this exciting pilot program, so please
respond quickly. If you are chosen to participate, you will receive
free CSET preparation and study guides, access to a mentor, and
reimbursement of your CSET exam fees (up to $250) from the Teaching and
Learning Interchange

Every volunteer who joins in this pilot project will be given access to
the CSET materials in time to prepare for the
exams scheduled for March 19 or May 21, 2005. The courses have been
carefully designed to meet the subject matter
content of the exam and have both online and face to face components.
You will be assigned a mentor trained by the
Exploratorium Leadership Institute to help you along the way. Follow-up
classroom support for using the standards
in your day-to-day teaching is included as part of the pilot program.

In return for this free service, you will be asked to complete several
very brief surveys regarding your opinion of the
CSET materials and the videos. A small random pool of participants will
be selected for a follow-up interview.

Sign up today for this FREE service at:
