OK, Paul, where does the 0.61 come from? It seems like a pretty big factor. We've been doing the old speed of sound lab with PVC and tuning forks and have never taken it into account. I guess the small radius of the PVC keeps us pretty accurate.

"Add 0.61 times the radius of the pipe for each open end."
