I use Gradekeeper (5.2), a program I got from Scholastic with teacher-points from book orders. It does both grading and attendance, and it is very flexible in terms of adding or deleting students, assignments, putting in extra credit, and adding comments. There are tons of report options, including class grades, student score reports (for all their work or for a particular project) and assignments reports (to see who is missing an assignment). You can set it for quarters or for 6 grading terms, as we have now. You can set how the percentage grades will be translated into letter grades. It allows for weighed grading (eg, final exam worth 25% of the final grade). It also has an option for a web site, but I don't use that one.

This program wasn't on Treena Joi's list of programs, but I like it.
