Hi, David.
We (our Pinhole tech person and me, the Pinhole moderator) have kicked
around a few ideas, including a web-based interface and RSS for
Pinhole. We already use Mailman webmail for the TI newbies listserv and
it has worked really well, sending subscribers a monthly email
reminding them they are subscribed, what their password is, and how to
change settings or unsubscribe.

We are waiting till August 1 to make this change as the Pinhole
archives are now on an August 1-July 31 cycle and changing now would
throw that off.

In the meantime, I'd like feedback from all of you on what preferences
you have regarding RSS or Mailman. Both still would send messages
directly to you, but in a slightly different way.

Thanks,
Deb

I know Eric likes to play with technology and was wondering what the
chances were or how difficult it would be rather to have this listserve
posting online with a direct RSS feed. It would make it very easy to
subscribe/unsubscribe to. I think they are all already posted on the
protected site in some manner so adding the XML seems possible in
theory...

BTW, for those who haven't used em, RSS readers are a very streamlined
way of looking at new content posted to sites without having to
navigate to every single one (think of a strange blend of browser and
e-mail program).
