Subject: Cassini probe and Plutonium
Pinholers,
A recent letter to Pinhole discussed the dangers of sending 72 pounds of
plutonium into space. The author thought this story was going
unrecognized by the mainstream press. I don't know about that, but I do
know that just having taken the Praxis Essay Exam to get my physics
credential; that this very issue was one of the essay questions! I didn't
at the time realize this was a real issue.
