The beta particles produce thin vapor trails while the alpha produces
thicker and apparently slower moving trails. It was neat to see both
together... although I guess it makes me a little unsure about whether I
am attributing the thick/thin trails to the proper particle! We used
those knit coleman lantern "bulbs" (?) which, for some reason, are
treated with a radioactive substance. Anyone know why???
If you do them separately, could you confirm size of trails?
