Subject: blacklights
Another potential use for blacklights:
If you do any microbiology, "sterile technique" is very important. Many
laundry detergents have added "brighteners" that flouresce in UV light. To
help students learn to clean surfaces thoroughly, spinkle laundry detergent
over their work space and ask them to clean it up. A black light will
reveal how well they did. It is amazingly dificult to remove all of it.

If we had known grandchildren were so much fun, we'd have had them first.
