Hi, Pinholers.

Ron Wong emailed back to the list serveral questions, one of which was how
did I know the page number and edition of the Handbook of Chemistry and
Physics that had the coefficient of restitution for steel balls in it. I
had already emailed my request to a listserv called Stumpers-L, which is
for reference librarians and other sleuths who submit
questions and answers to hard-to-answer questions they receive from
library patrons. One of the respondents had a CD-ROM that listed the
citation to the 1987 Handbook.

Also, in response to Ron's question about my searching the web. I did that
and more. As a professional researcher, I also searched proprietary
engineering and physics databases to no avail. I even queried my
colleagues at UC Berkeley's Engineering and Physics Libraries.

Thanks, Ron, for your suggestions and questions.
Deb
