Hello Pinholers,
Free stuff:
For dissections or collections; one jar of Lubber Grasshoppers and one
white rat.
They are left over materials from the Frogs show that just opened at the
Exploratorium. The grasshppers are preserved in alcohol and the rat is
preserved in formaldehyde. They are currently being stored in the Biology
Life Science office at the museum. Call Rebecca Faith at (415) 561 - 0341
if you are interested in either of these items. You should check your
school's policy about acquiring/keeping critters preserved in formaldehyde,
which is pretty nasty stuff (carcinogenic) before accepting the rat.
