I consider this an excellent thing for science teachers to discuss, and not at
all political. The discussion of energy, its sources and their limitations,
and the threat to our environment from inattention to conservation, is highly
appropriate. Starting the discussion with this suggestion for personal
rolling blackouts will get student's attention. It connects the topic to
their own possible actions. Surely that is not political.
