Hey Camilla,
It's a brand thing. Some brands of modeling clay stick differently. Some
formulations stick better to the aluminum can and to the plastic straw.
We get ours from Amsterdam Art in big bricks. I'll try to find the brand
name later.
Also, we've used plumbers putty.
