1. Does anyone know the density of carbon dioxide gas and of air?

Molar mass of CO2 is 12+2(16)=44 g
A mole of gas at std temp and pressure is 22.4 liters
at room temp slightly more (PV=nRT)
Density is g per liter for gas (isn't it usually?)

density of air would be weighted average of the molecules
N2 at 28 is 80%
O2 at 32 is 20&
.80*28+.20*32= about 29g per mole
divide by 22.4 for g per liter
