Hi Marc.

Uh, I thought they didn't allow us to have real Freon anymore. Depending on what you're doing, a lot of AP people have used either butane lighters or the larger butane refill canisters. The lighters are cheaper to get in quantity, but it's harder to be sure they're dry after gas collection. Some people have tried to leave a relatively consistent amount of water in the mechanism (remove the majority of the upper assembly, just leave the valve assembly). The large canisters don't get submerged, so that helps. Guess it depends on exactly what you're interested in doing.
