Subject: Change Blindness

I was amazed last summer by the Exploratorium exhibit called "Change
Blindness."
A city streetscape appears to blink on an off, but on closer inspection
each image is
different from the one before.

I've build some web pages to illustrate this effect:

In addition to blinking on and off, it is difficult to notice the changes from
picture to picture when the picture shifts back and forth on the screen.

It would be interesting to compare how different people respond to this
effect. I wonder if someone with a "photographic" memory would be able
to catch all of the changes easily?

Cheers,
