Hi Shelley

The name of the pendulum exhibit is "Pendulum Snake"

Lori has a write up on how to build it.

Your hand looks "dry" in the tank.

It looks wet when it is covered in water while in air because the layer of
water reflects light from the air-water surface. The air water surface is
just a short distance from your flesh.

In the tank the water "layer" around your hand is really thick so there is
no light reflection near your skin so it looks dry.
