Subject: vertical accelerometers

I am working with Bowditch MS in Foster City and our
eigth grade classes are going to the May 7 Physics Day
at Great America. We have horizontal accelerometers,
but no vertical accelerometers. We have some
activities we'd like to do which require vertical
accelerometers, so the questions are:
--does anyone have vertical accelerometers that they
would be willing to loan us? I would pick them up and
drop them back off.
--does anyone use something to measure vertical
acceleration which is easy (low cost & time) to
fabricate?
