Hey Andrew and Pinholers,

It has a great video clip of pillow lavas being formed.

The water will turn into steam even under lots of pressure if the
tempurature is great enough. In the case of pillow lavas, as soon as it does
turn into steam and moves away from the heat source, it condenses back into
water.
