I don't teach this topic but a friend of mine teaches an outdoor ed
class in which he has students make contour maps. I was at a saturday
workshop once and someone did a demo of a contour map exercise that
used foam core to build amazing little contour models. Does anyone have
any information about this activity or anything interesting with
contour modeling. He has been using clay to build models but wasn't
thrilled with the results.
