The cleanest one would be epsom salt, magnesium
sulfate, which can be found at any drug store. A
saturated solution is about 1.4. No mess. Smells
weird.
 
Glycerine is about 1.26. Messy, though. Washes off
with water.

Saturated sugar solution is about 1.8. It pours like
syrup, though, because, well, it is syrup.
