Hello Pinhole

We prototyped the geysers using one and two Liter Florence flasks.
We corked them with single hole rubber stoppers and had a 1 meter or longer
glass tube in the hole. Tube inside diameters were about 7 to 8 mm.
Put the flask over a burner and it will erupt. However for repetitive
eruptions you need to put a collecting basin at the mouth of the glass
tube. We used a Wok with a hole drilled in the bottom, but a plastic mixing
bowl should work. We used silicone seal to join the glass tube to the metal
bowl.
