Subject: RE: cellophane tape for polarization activity

Results just in:
• Scotch brand 2 inch wide clear "Packaging" tape and "Mailing" tape both
worked -- one of these I just purchased at Office Max, and the other probably
less than a year ago, but I've now mixed them up, and can't tell which is which!
• Scotch brand 2 inch wide clear #375, on a tape gun that I had around, also
worked -- probably purchased within the last year
• MANCO brand 2 inch wide clear "EZ Start" works -- just purchased at Office
Max
• Duck brand (but made by MANCO) 2 inch wide clear "Crystal Clear" works --
just says Mailing Tape on the cardboard label attached to the dispenser, but
says Crystal Clear when you look through the tape itself at the core of the roll
-- just purchased at Office Max
• Scotch brand "Crystal Clear Tape" in 3/4 inch width did NOT work -- but I
couldn't find it at Office Max, so both rolls I tried were purchased
previously, date unknown

To highlight the potential confusion in all this, I also have an old roll of
Moore brand 3/4 inch tape also called Crystal Clear, which does work -- don't
even know if it's still made -- but that's three different brands Crystal
Clear!

Hope this helps --
